One of the great things about what we do at the Birmingham International Tattoo is being able to support young musicians and performers in the local community giving them the opportunity to perform alongside the international bands during the event.
In 2026 we are particularly pleased to welcome the National Band of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets to the Tattoo.

Recently, we had the opportunity to catch up with the National Band as they spent time preparing for their performances at the Birmingham International Tattoo in February where they will be joined by the Royal Air Force College Band, the Polish Police Band, the Combined Pipes & Drums and over 1,000 performers.
During our short visit we took the opportunity to interview some of the young passionate musicians who are looking forward to performing and helping us to raise funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund, Troop Aid, Royal Star & Garter during the two day event. Special thanks go to the Royal Corps of Army Music, the Bands of HM Royal Marines and the Royal Air Force Air Cadets instructors who helped during the week to train the cadets.
