We are thrilled to announce that the Bluebird Belles will be joining the 2027 Birmingham International Tattoo, taking place on 20–21 February 2027 at bp pulse LIVE, Birmingham.
The Midlands’ own vintage vocal harmony trio – known for their dazzling harmonies and timeless repertoire spanning the 1940s through to the present day – will bring a touch of nostalgia to Britain’s biggest indoor tattoo, performing alongside the massed international marching bands, pipes and drums, field gun racing, and a grand finale featuring over 1,000 performers.
The Bluebird Belles are no strangers to honouring Britain’s military heritage. Since 2015 they have performed to countless audiences nationwide and overseas, and have sung at some of the largest and most popular 1940s and vintage events. Their recent performances include singing at VE Day celebrations in London, Birmingham and Solihull, performing for veterans at the Chelsea Flower Show’s D-Day 75 Memorial Garden, and taking part in the recent Liberation Day event in Guernsey – making them a fitting addition to an event that celebrates the armed forces and their traditions.
Inspired by original female trios The Boswell Sisters and The Andrews Sisters, and influenced by later girl groups The Chordettes and The Supremes, the girls each have their own unique vocal qualities that effortlessly blend together to create beautiful, slick vocal harmonies to delight every ear!
Always dressed to impress, the Belles are known for their authentic and original WW2 WAAF, ATS and WRNS uniforms, as well as their huge collection of beautiful vintage dresses.
A parade like no other, the Birmingham International Tattoo returns next February for an unforgettable weekend of spectacle and pageantry. Audiences can expect massed international bands, pipes and drums, thrilling field gun racing, energetic flyball, talented dancers, and a breath-taking grand finale featuring over 1,000 performers.
