Getting the most out of your visit to the Tattoo

If you are joining us at the 2025 Birmingham International Tattoo, here are some top tips for getting the best out of your visit.

Make sure you get your copy of our souvenir programme
Everything you need to know about the bands and the other performers, plus the running order and much more, is available in our 52-page, full colour souvenir programmes on sale around the venue for £10. There will be a retiring collection at the end of each performance for our chosen charities – Troop Aid on the Saturday night and Royal Star & Garter on the Sunday performance – and a contribution from each programme sold will also go to these charities.

Visit the charity merchandising stalls
There are plenty of stalls on the public levels selling military music items and of course our souvenir programme, so come early and make sure you get a chance to browse. Also you can take the opportunity to meet with our the charities that the Tattoo supports who also have items for sale. Or why not seek out Soldier Magazine who are giving out free copies of their excellent publication or visit the exhibits from some of our bands. Their locations are shown on the map below.

Make sure you are aware of the Arena bag policy
All bags are searched prior to entry; therefore, to help speed things up and ensure your safety, we’d prefer if you didn’t bring a bag to the venue. If you need to bring one, it needs to meet the following criteria:

  • No bigger than A4 in size (21cm x 30cm x 19cm)
  • Maximum of 2 compartments
  • Rucksacks are not permitted

More information on the bag policy and other useful things such as food and drink information can be found here.
